TOUR DAY 1: CUSCO – MOLLEPATA – LAGUNA HUMANTAY – CAMPAMENTO BASE OKIDOKI – SALKANTAY

The adventure begins with a pick-up from your hostel in Cusco (elevation 3400 meters) between 4:30 am and 5:00 am. From there, we travel by bus for about 2 hours to the village of Mollepata (elevation 2900 meters), where a delicious breakfast is included to fuel your day.

After breakfast, we continue for another hour by bus to the starting point of the Soraypampa trek, located at 3900 meters above sea level.

The trek begins with a 1 hour and 30 minutes walk to reach the stunning Humantay Lagoon, where you can take in the breathtaking scenery and enjoy the crystal-clear waters surrounded by towering peaks.

After this, we descend for about 1 hour and 30 minutes to the Okidoki Base Camp (elevation 4050 meters), where lunch will be served. Here, you can relax and enjoy panoramic views of the Salkantay mountain and surrounding peaks.

The day ends with a delicious dinner and accommodation in the cozy cabins of Okidoki Base Camp, preparing you for the next stage of the trek.

TOUR DAY 2: OKIDOKI CAMP BASE – SALKANTAY PASS – OKIDOKI CAMP – SORAYPAMPA – MOLLEPATA – CUSCO

The second day starts early with breakfast at 5:30 a.m., preparing you for the most challenging and rewarding part of the trek.

We then begin our ascent towards the majestic Salkantay Pass, reaching an elevation of 4620 meters after approximately 3 hours of trekking. At the highest point of this trek, we will hold a traditional ceremony led by our guide, expressing thanks and respect to the mountain, which holds great significance in local history and spirituality.

After this meaningful moment, we start descending back to Okidoki Base Camp, which takes about 3 hours, where a well-deserved lunch awaits.

Next, we trek for approximately 1 hour down to Soraypampa, where our transport will be waiting to take us back to Cusco.

The return trip lasts around 3 hours, with an expected arrival in Cusco at approximately 6:00 p.m. or earlier.
