Prepárate para un viaje épico por uno de los destinos menos explorados y más asombrosos del Perú. Este trekking te llevará a través de paisajes montañosos, cañones profundos, miradores espectaculares y al mítico sitio arqueológico de Choquequirao, considerado la ciudad hermana de Machu Picchu.


🏕️ Day 1: Cusco – Cachora – Capuliyoc – Playa Rosalina

Distance: 19 km | Walking time: ~7 hours

  • 🚐 5:00 AM: Recogida en tu hotel en Cusco y viaje en bus hacia Cachora (2,850 m / 9,350 ft), trayecto de ~4.5 horas.

  • 🥐 Parada opcional para desayuno (no incluido) y preparación de las mulas/caballos para el equipo.

  • 🚶 Inicio del trekking hasta Capuliyoc (2,915 m / 9,564 ft) donde almorzamos con una vista panorámica increíble.

  • 📸 Vista espectacular del cañón del Apurímac y del sitio de Choquequirao a lo lejos.

  • ⬇️ Descenso hasta Playa Rosalina (1,550 m / 5,085 ft), donde pasamos la noche en campamento.


⛰️ Day 2: Playa Rosalina – Marampata – Choquequirao

Distance: 15 km | Walking time: ~7 hours

  • 🌄 4:00 AM: Inicio del ascenso mientras aún no sale el sol, ideal para evitar el calor.

  • 🥾 Llegada a Marampata (2,800 m / 9,240 ft) para almuerzo y descanso.

  • 🏛️ Caminata de 2 horas hasta el sitio arqueológico de Choquequirao (3,035 m).

  • 👣 Exploración guiada del complejo Inca, con vistas al atardecer y posibilidad de ver cóndores.

  • 🌌 Campamento cercano al sitio arqueológico.


🌿 Day 3: Choquequirao – Playa Rosalina – Chiquisca

Distance: 14 km | Walking time: ~6–7 hours

  • ☀️ Después del desayuno, regresamos por la misma ruta hacia Playa Rosalina donde almorzamos.

  • ⬆️ Subida de 1.5 horas hasta llegar a Chiquisca (1,800 m), lugar de nuestro campamento.


🏞️ Day 4: Chiquisca – Capuliyoc – Cachora – Cusco

Distance: 7 km | Walking time: ~5–6 hours

  • ⛰️ Caminata final con una subida fuerte de 3–4 horas hasta el mirador de Capuliyoc.

  • 🚶 Tramo final de 2 horas hasta el punto de inicio.

  • 🍽️ Almuerzo en Cachora.

  • 🚐 Retorno en bus a Cusco, llegando por la tarde.

Choquequirao Archaeological Park is nestled in the western part of the Cusco region, Peru. It lies along the Vilcabamba mountain range, stretching from southeast to northwest. The park’s waters flow into two major river basins: the Apurímac River to the east and the Vilcanota (Urubamba) River to the west.   2. Cusco – Abancay Road: Through Cachora and Huanipaca districts, then descending via a bridle path to the Apurímac canyon and the archaeological complex.

  3. Cusco – Abancay Road: Through Mollepata district, entering a trail toward the Vilcabamba snowy mountains (Salkantay).

  4. Railway Cusco – Machupicchu: Then by road crossing Carrilluchayoc bridge to Santa Teresa district.
